Waterbury Private Residence

This was our first investigation together. Our co-founder, Jillian, had rented the 2nd floor apartment of this multifamily house from her childhood best friend many years prior. In 2020, the homeowner sold the property and allowed us in to investigate a week before the closing. The property was empty, except for a few personal items that were due to be moved within the week.

The claims of activity for this property spanned many years. Jillian had helped the homeowner renovate the property in the early 2000s. During the renovation, she remembers a small toy that would move to different areas each night when the house was locked up and empty.

Once the renovations were complete and the homeowner moved in, a guest arrived to show off his new car. While visiting, the new car’s horn started beeping and the headlights were blinking as if the car alarm were activated. When the car owner called the dealership the next day to find out how to deactivate the car alarm, he was told the new car was not equipped with an alarm system. It never activated again.

When Jillian lived there the kitchen cabinets would constantly swing open, with no obvious cause. The homeowner turned the attic into a bedroom suite, but originally the attic had no floor to walk upon. Jillian would hear boots pacing on the non-existent floor almost nightly when she lived there.
