Fort William Henry

To quote the Fort's website: "The French and Indian War (1755-1763) was the extension of the Seven Years War in Europe between England and France. It involved people on three continents and the Caribbean and is considered by many to [be] the true first world war." Fort William Henry played an important and strategic role in that conflict.

During the war, a tragic massacre occurred and it's estimated over 200 people, including wounded soldiers, women, and children perished. Given the somber nature of what transpired, we approached this investigation with all of our standard empathy, respect, and dignity for those who passed.

We were honored to have staff member Cyndy investigating with us. The date of our investigation was personally significant to her and we received some message that validated her departed loved ones.
